Fayette Chamber of Commerce President
Chambers of Commerce are always focused on improving the economic climate for member businesses and the community. These days, that may seem like an especially challenging task. Challenging, yes, but not impossible.
The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to provide as much aid as possible. The Chamber’s 2010 Resource Guide & Membership Directory shows the direction that it’s taking—providing helpful information and programs for businesses as they navigate the current uncertain economic waters.
The directory’s clear, bright cover gives readers a clue to the overall message. It’s positive and packed with articles that offer advice on improving sales, running an effective meeting, choosing appropriate business insurance and more. There’s plenty of important area information, too. Readers find everything from a brief Fayette County history and education statistics to local accommodation listings and contact info for government offices.
The main purpose of the Chamber Directory is the best reason to be in it and to pick it up—to connect with member businesses. At the back of the publication, there are listings of all the Fayette Chamber’s members, both alphabetical and by category, along with contact information. The directory makes it easy for local businesses can “Find it in Fayette” so their dollars stimulate the area’s economy, and that’s good for everyone.
“We encourage members to keep our directory handy—at home, at the office, even in the car—as a ready source for whatever they might need,” says Fayette Chamber President Virginia Gibbs. “We also offer ways for businesses gain to exposure at FayetteChamber.org.”
