One of the first things to impress newcomers and visitors are the many places of worship found in Coweta and Fayette counties. There’s a wide variety of worship styles available here, from traditional services in small churches with mature congregations to large, energetic services that feature contemporary music and casual attire. Some local churches also offer services in a multitude of languages.
A full range of religions are represented, including Baptist, Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, Episcopal, Jewish, Greek Orthodox, Islam and Latter Day Saints, to name a few; there are also quite a few non-denominational churches here. Most of the groups reach into the community through public service projects and by offering activities for members and non-members, like those at the Bridge Community Center in Peachtree City.
