Arts & Leisure

The arts are alive and well here. Fayette and Coweta counties have plenty of venues for residents to participate in theater, dance, visual arts, music and more.

The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater in Peachtree City, also known as ‘The Fred,’ brings in crowds who have a great time while being entertained by acts such as Kenny G, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Jo Dee Messina, Swingin’ Medallions, Kool & The Gang, 10,000 Maniacs and more. There are more than 2,500 seats in the open-air setting, which includes picnic areas, lawn seating and a Gold Section directly in front of the stage.
Set in the heart of downtown Fayetteville, The Villages Amphitheater is the place for top acts and community programs. Up to 1,800 people can get comfortable on the tiered seating of natural grass to see performers like Bobby Vinton, Roy Clark, The Association and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

Pets are precious in Coweta and Fayette counties. There are caring veterinarians, talented groomers, boarding facilities and stables all throughout the area.

Fayette Veterinary Medical Center’s new 8,300 square-foot facility, located in Fayetteville, offers services for small animals. In addition to emergency care and a complete laboratory, they provide laser surgery, endoscopy, ultrasound and digital radiology. There are even wellness programs, behavior training, grooming and boarding.
In 2008, LaFayette Center Animal Hospital and Huntington Creek Animal Hospital combined their practices to bring Fayette Veterinary Medical Center to the community. Owner and chief of staff Mike Younker, DVM, leads a dedicated team of veterinarians and friendly staff members, ensuring that your pet will receive expert care and personal attention.
