Fayette and Coweta Counties are fortunate to offer a wide range of healthcare and wellness choices. There are many healthcare facilities all around Piedmont Fayette and Piedmont Newnan, which serve as the local healthcare’s two main anchors. There are plenty of choices to enable you choose the best physician in the area for almost any need, from orthopedics to pediatrics and every expert in between.

Piedmont Newnan’s facility on Poplar Road was established in 2012 to better serve the region’s expanding demands. The 362,000 square foot, 154-bed hospital offers a variety of services including maternity care, women’s services, imaging, cancer treatment, and heart care. It was recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety in 2016 by the Women’s Choice Award. Piedmont Newnan received the Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award and the Patient Safety Quality Award in 2019 and 2020, respectively, as recognition for clinical excellence and patient safety. In 2020, Piedmont Newnan Hospital will be the only facility in Georgia to win both the Patient Safety Excellence and America’s 250 Best Hospitals Awards.

City of Hope® (COH) is aware that no two cancers or cancer patients are alike. Every patient’s care plan is created to match his or her needs and treatment objectives, from managing the condition to managing related side effects. Every step of the way, patients and their caregivers are included and given the authority to make decisions about their own treatment.
City of Hope® uses all available methods to treat every cancer at every stage. Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, precision medicine, immunotherapy, and surgery are all treatments that COH uses to battle cancer.
A patient’s care team is put together based on the requirements of the patient. The medical or radiation oncologist is a member of the care team who is solely focused on treating the cancer. Others, like the doctor who specializes in pain management or the dietician, assist in managing the side effects of cancer to lower the chance of treatment delays and enhance quality of life.
COH’s model of care has changed the way oncologists, surgeons and other clinical professionals treat patients with cancer. This whole-person cancer treatment approach combined with a compassionate, nurturing environment is now known as the Mother Standard® of care and provides a patient-centered approach to cancer treatment. COH’s goal is to successfully treat their patients while providing treatment personal, caring touch.
Georgia’s Heart and Vascular Care provides the most advanced cardiovascular care, with a focus on early detection. Their goal is to give their patients the best possible care that is focused on relationships. They have provided services to the Atlanta neighborhoods of Coweta, Fayette, Troup, Heard, Harris, and Meriwether since 2009. They take pride in keeping up with the most recent advancements in treatment protocols and often inform our personnel about new techniques for diagnosis and therapy. Our team of specialists are honored participants in the best available medical care. The doctor, nurse practitioners, nurses, and technicians are always learning new techniques to offer their patients the finest available treatments.
Over the last seven years, their vascular lab in Lagrange, has completed over 2,052 total intervention cases with a procedural success rate of 99.2% (the national standard is 96.3%). As a result, they were able to open a second cutting-edge vascular laboratory in Newnan, which provides the entire range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic modalities for the identification and treatment of peripheral vascular disease, a circulation disorder that narrows or blocks blood vessels.
Since 1987, Piedmont Cancer Institute has retained its identity as a private healthcare facility. The practice is entirely owned and run by doctors rather than a health system, allowing them to independently manage the conditions of each patient. PCI doctors are able to adapt to changes quickly and effectively.
PCI patients appreciate the advantages of a private practice, including higher quality of care, lower costs, efficiency, and more. Their in-house infusion centers allow patients to be close to their provider, which also enables the doctors to form relationships with the patients as well.
PCI seeks to remove all obstacles to care for all patients. Comprehensive treatment also includes connecting patients with financial aid resources, advice regarding medical and insurance coverage, and psychosocial support. To ensure that treatment is available to everyone, PCI’s social work section provides assistance with practical requirements both inside the facility and in the surrounding neighborhood. The Piedmont Cancer Institute team is committed to supporting patients’ needs throughout their oncology and hematology treatment journeys by counseling, informing, and advocating on their behalf. There are on-site labs at every PCI location for the benefit of patients.
